I was born in Dunfermline, Fife, in 1940 and still live there today. For as long as I can remember I have used art to learn about and process what I see around me.
As a young boy in the 40’s I was inspired by early Walt Disney films and how the animators told the story, the emotions of the people and songs through their pictures.

As a young boy in the 40’s I was inspired by early Walt Disney films and how the animators told the story, the emotions of the people and songs through their pictures.
The inspiration for my current work is still in what I see and learn about my world around me every day. I am delighted to express my surroundings through this exhibition of my photography and other art.
in my younger years I explored my thoughts through pencil sketches, later I inherited my first oil paints and this led to a lifetime discovery of many other art mediums.
I love the challenge to create, I will work with anything that makes a mark and you will be surprised what you can achieve if you just try!
